After passing through the city of Limerick, the Shannon River continues its course towards the Atlantic Ocean bordering also County Clare. In the lands of this county, on the banks of one of its affluents, is located the village of Bunratty. Despite having just over 200 inhabitants, its imposing 16th-century castle and the beautiful park where it is located bring many visitors here, who are attracted by the interesting history of the place and the opportunity to learn more about the Irish culture, as the park has old buildings brought here from different areas of the rural Ireland.
One of the best views to photograph Bunratty Castle is from the opposite bank of the river. From here you can also include in the composition other buildings such as the Durty Nelly´s pub (considered one of the oldest in Ireland), in addition to the traditional boats of the local people. The proximity of the sea causes the flow of the river to go down and rise a lot with the tides. So it is important to visit Bunratty at high tide at the time of day when we want to photograph to get the best results from the shore.

Tras pasar por la ciudad de Limerick, el río Shannon sigue su curso hacia el Océano Atlántico bordeando también el Condado de Clare. En tierras de este condado, en las orillas de uno de sus los afluentes, se encuentra la aldea de Bunratty. A pesar de contar con poco más de 200 habitantes, su imponente castillo del siglo XVI y el precioso parque donde se encuentra traen hasta aquí a numerosos visitantes, que vienen atraídos por la interesante historia del lugar y por la oportunidad de conocer más sobre la cultura irlandesa, ya que el parque cuenta con edificios antiguos traídos aquí desde diferentes zonas de la Irlanda rural.
Una de las mejores vistas para fotografiar el castillo de Bunratty se tiene desde la orilla opuesta del río. Desde aquí se pueden incluir también en la composición otros edificios como el pub Durty Nelly´s (considerado uno de los más antiguos de Irlanda), además de las barcas tradicionales de los locales. La cercanía del mar hace que el caudal del río baje y suba muchísimo con las mareas. Por lo que es importante visitar Bunratty con marea alta en el momento del día en el que queremos fotografiar para conseguir los mejores resultados desde la orilla.
