Bobbio is one of those little Italian villages that seem to have stopped in time. Located at the foot of the splendid Apennine mountains, we can still feel the tradition by its streets of medieval origin. However, what really sets it apart from other medieval towns is its characteristic bridge, known as "Hunchback Bridge", because of its irregular shape, or as "Devil's Bridge", since in some legends its unknown construction is attributed to the evil one.

Crossing the bridge you have a wonderful view of it, next to the town and the mountains. If you also choose to photograph it with a long exposure, you can transmit that flow of the river that does not stop in its path of constant change, and that reminds us that although certain things we feel as eternal, sooner or later, will cease to exist as we knew them.

Bobbio es uno de esos pueblecitos italianos que parecen haberse detenido en el tiempo. Situado al pie de los espléndidos montes Apeninos, la tradición se respira todavía por sus calles de origen medieval. No obstante, lo que lo diferencia realmente de otros pueblos medievales es su característico puente, conocido como "Puente Jorobado", por su irregular forma, o como "Puente del Diablo", al estar a éste atribuida en algunas leyendas su desconocida construcción.

Cruzando el puente se tiene una estupenda panorámica del mismo, junto al pueblo y las montañas. Si además se opta por fotografiarlo con una larga exposición, se consigue transmitir ese fluir del río que no se detiene en su camino de cambio constante, y que nos recuerda que a pesar de que ciertas cosas las sintamos como eternas, antes o después dejarán de existir tal y como las conocíamos.

From the Po river to the Apennines, we find many castles symbols of the most splendid times of the Duchy of Parma, when the great lords controlled their lands from these imposing but beautiful constructions.

Near the capital, on the road leading to Langhirano, we find one of the grandest and best preserved fortresses in Italy. The Castle of Torrechiara dominates the panorama majestically. Surrounded by fields where exquisite wines are grown, its rooms still contain important artworks that add even more interest to the visit. Photographing these castles at twilight allows us to capture the beauty of the artificial light with which they come illuminated, and at the same time to add natural light that still makes perceptible the beautiful landscapes that often surround them.

Desde el río Po a los Apeninos, encontramos muchos castillos símbolos de los tiempos de mayor esplendor del Ducado de Parma, cuando los grandes señores controlaban sus tierras desde estas imponentes pero hermosas construcciones.

Cerca de la capital, en la carretera que lleva a Langhirano, encontramos una de las fortalezas más grandiosas y mejor conservadas de Italia. El Castillo de Torrechiara domina el panorama de forma majestuosa. Rodeado de campos donde se cultivan vinos exquisitos, sus habitaciones contienen aún importantes obras de arte que añaden todavía más interés a su visita. Fotografiar estos castillos al crepúsculo permite captar la belleza de la luz artificial con la que vienen iluminados, y al mismo tiempo añadir la luz natural que todavía hace perceptibles los preciosos paisajes que a menudo los rodean.
